Our SEN Vision

At Fairford C of E Primary, we aim to meet the needs of every pupil with special educational needs (SEN). Our school vision – ”I have written your name on the palms of my hands” ISAIAH 49:16 Actively learning together in a safe, happy environment shaped by the certainty that each individual is loved and known by God – is reflected in our SEN vision. We see each individual pupil’s special educational need as a part of their learning journey and aim to reduce any gaps in attainment, or support any additional needs as part of that journey, whilst celebrating differences and developing the whole child.

Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator is Mrs Rae Cotton.
Please contact Mrs Cotton via the school office, or email senco@fairford.gloucs.sch.uk.

Our Pastoral lead is Ms Charlie Maunder.
Please contact Ms Maunder via the school office, or email cmaunder@fairford.gloucs.sch.uk

We also have access to support through the Early Help Partnership in Gloucestershire. Early help is about providing support to potentially vulnerable children, young people and their families as soon as difficulties begin to emerge or when there is a strong likelihood that support will be needed in the future. The school can make a referral to the Early Help Partnership and also has the support of an allocated Early Help Coordinator.

SENDIASS Gloucestershire provides information, advice and support on matters relating to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The service is offered to parents and carers of children and young people aged between 0 and 25 years old.
