Prayer Space

Each year Fairford Primary School celebrates its annual Prayer Space Day in June.

Our community gathers together to reflect on God’s love and forgiveness and in thankfulness for the beautiful world He has created. Together we explore the kindness He showed and think about how we show kindness in His world.

Uniquely this year, we focused on showing love of others through a Buddhist Prayer Bell activity as well as a whole-school Tibetan Prayer Flag display. We warmly welcomed our pupils, staff, parents, community members and visitors from the Diocesan Team, who enjoyed participating in and exploring all our prayer stations inside and outdoors.

We aim to inspire our pupils with an immersive space which instils a deep reflection of not only God’s glorious world but also to give our children a shared spiritual experience where they can begin to gain a true sense of their own place within it.

If you would like to hear more about our Prayer Space Day, or if you would like to explore an opportunity to bring a class from your school to our June 2024 event, please contact hmiles@fairford.gloucs.sch.uk.
