Fairford Primary School

Computing

At Fairford Primary school, we recognise that computing is an essential aspect of children’s education, and we aim to preparing children for the advancing digital world: ensuring they are responsible digital citizens.

In school, we deliver a range of engaging and practical computing lessons which encourage creativity and problem solving. Throughout computing lessons, we encourage children to develop their understanding and application of the core concepts in computer science while building on their previous learning. To support us in delivering a structured and engaging curriculum we follow the Teach Computing scheme of work. In school we aim to provide opportunities for children to apply their computing knowledge across the curriculum.

We believe that every child should feel included and able to succeed in computing. We strive to make sure that our programme of study meets the needs of all children, empowering them with essential skills and understanding for their future.
